Holiday Details
| Accommodation at Treasure Beach Barbados | Treasure Beach the Caribbean resort is designed around its suites, which form a horseshoe shape around the fresh water pool and are cool and contemporary in design. Newly modernized, the hotel also offers new luxury suites with private pools overlooking the Caribbean Sea. These suites are really well situated and we liked them.
All Ocean, Pool and Garden View Suites have recently been renovated and feature coral stone walls, ceramic tiled floors, and Plasma flat screen televisions. The bathrooms have been stylishly redesigned with separate shower and soaking tub, and his and hers sink. Every suite has an air-conditioned bedroom with ceiling fan, bathroom with hair dryer, tub and separate shower. A tastefully furnished living room, with ceiling fan, leads out to a private patio or balcony. Home comforts include tea & coffee service, a mini fridge/ freezer, toaster and kettle.
Patios, with outdoor furniture and sun loungers, offer guests time to relax in private. The views from all the one bedroom suites reflects true Caribbean simplicity and elegance.
The V.I.P. Deluxe Suites: The Hemingway
Ideal for Honeymooners or a romantic escape, the newly renovated Hemingway suite exudes contemporary elegance and understated style. The suite is the largest of the three deluxe suites with stunning views across the beautiful garden and pristine white sandy beach
The Hibiscus Suite is over looking the perfect white sand and blue sea of Payne’s Bay. The Suite is designed using Afro Caribbean and Amerindian influences. The large living room area opens up on to the balcony and plunge pool. The bathroom has a beautiful oversized tub with modern fixtures and a glass encased shower for two.
The Hummingbird is perched on the northern side with views of the glistening Caribbean waters and warm sandy beach. This Suite is cool and relaxing with the use of light neutral colours and exquisite Guyanese furnishings and Art work. There is a small alcove looking out onto the beach ideal for early morning tea while the sunrises over Barbados.
There really isn't a duff room here but we have our favourites which we will try to make sure our clients get! |
| Dining at Treasure Beach Barbados | The attractive Al Fresco is nestled amongst fragrant tropical flora, with views over the pool to the Caribbean Sea.
The Restaurant offers delicious fresh dishes prepared by a very able Australian chef, a good wine list and tempting cocktails. Open air dining is a must in the evening with the recent addition of a retractable awning, allowing patrons to dine under the stars.
Guests who have purchased the Modified American Plan [MAP] that includes breakfast and lunch or dinner are also entitled to a dine around programme at a number of west coast hotels. This gives the opportunity to sample many different menus without incurring additional expense.
Barbados has an enviable reputation for good food and the concierge will be pleased to recommend local restaurants, some within walking distance of the hotel. |
| Facilities at Treasure Beach Barbados | Treasure Beach Hotel is situated on the beautiful Payne’s Bay Beach on the West Coast of Barbados. The West coast enjoys the tranquil waters of the Caribbean Sea and is ideal for all types of Water Sports activities.
Snorkeling is complimentary to resident guests and scuba diving, sailing and jet skis, to name a few, are all located on the beach and reservations can be arranged through the concierge desk.
The fresh water swimming pool provides an alternative to the beach - it isn't massive but hardly anyone uses it, they are all on the beach or in the shade.
The concierge will be delighted to reserve tee times at the Sandy Lane Golf Club which is a mere ten minute drive from Treasure Beach:
THE COUNTRY CLUB
at 7060 yards, Par 74.7, this challenging course features lush greens, five lakes and lovely open fairways with angled slopes. Most holes offer spectacular Caribbean Sea views, and are shared with the famous Bajan Green Monkeys, which live in the gullies in and around the course. The course is comprised of 5 par threes, 8 par fours, and 5 par fives.
THE OLD NINE
The famous Old Nine course, constructed in 1961, is intimate yet challenging. With its tree-lined fairways, it still winds its way magically through the old estate.
THE DRIVING RANGE
The 450-yard driving range is located at The Country Club. Its two-sided North and South tees provide the challenge of hitting against the trade winds. |
