Holiday Details
| Accommodation at Spice Island Beach Resort | The spacious all-suite accommodation features rooms set directly on the white sands or in the tropical gardens. Appointed in a contemporary Caribbean style, they feature flat-screen TVs, DVD players, Italian linens, Molton Brown amenities, double whirlpool tubs and private terraces or balconies. The much-loved Pool Suites have also been taken up several notches, ranging from 1,200 sq.ft. to 1,500 sq.ft. in size and featuring anything from their own private plunge pools and saunas to marble bathrooms and 16 ft. by 20 ft. residential-size swimming pools. The water’s edge setting, floating canopy beds
and marble and glass bathrooms of the new Cinnamon and Saffron Suites will be sure to tempt everyone.
No under 12’s in pool suites (to do with litigation I'm afraid)
There are 64 garden, beachfront & private pool suites all of which are lovely depending on your budget and requirements. |
| Dining at Spice Island Beach Resort | Spice Island’s traditional focus upon personal service remains unchanged, the high-profile role the Hopkin family continues to play ensuring a particularly warm Caribbean welcome. This potent sense of the West Indies also extends to the culinary experience one can expect and whether it’s a casual lunch at Sea & Surf or a romantic dinner in Oliver’s, dining is always a breeze-cooled oceanfront affair. Executive Chef, Mark Banthorpe, takes full advantage of local products and hotel-grown spices to prepare specialities such as Callaloo (basically this is spinach) Tartlet and Local Grenadian Crab Back, whilst ‘speciality’ evenings include Grenadian, BBQ and Nostalgia nights. Regardless of your attitude to these themed evenings the fact remains they have the food just right here, for all the family. |
| Facilities | ‘Spice’ is all about rest and relaxation, the long list of sporting
opportunities there for when contented guests can summon up the energy to drag themselves away from the beach chairs.
Recreational facilities include an oceanfront swimming pool, non-motorised water sports such as snorkelling and sailing, as well as a dive centre, tennis court, fitness room and complimentary green fees on the nearby 9-hole course. The 5,000 sq.ft. Janissa’s Spa combines with the ‘Nutmeg Pod’ (children’s activity centre) to ensure all age groups are satisfied. |
