Holiday Details
| Accommodation at Curtain Bluff, Antigua | All of the newly air-conditioned guest rooms, split-level executive suites and one-of-a-kind suites are spacious and airy, the bevy
of junior suites particularly luxurious havens in which to relax and be thankful to have escaped the British winter or wet summer actually. In general, one can expect marble bathrooms, private balconies and sea views - but no tv's in the rooms. We didn't miss it though and we like T.V. (very boring i know).
The Grace Bay and Morris Bay suites have lots of space and good commanding views.
18 deluxe beachfront rooms are complemented by 54 suites all laid out with views over a wild bay (you swim on the other beach on the other side of the hotel.) |
| Dining at Curtain Bluff, Antigua | Whilst the days are designed to be tropically casual, the evenings are carefully fashioned as special events, beginning with hors d’oeuvres in the cosy bar and ending with continental specialities in the alfresco restaurant. The formal dress code is no longer, yet the combination of live music, attentive service and award-winning wines ensure the night time ambience is still suitably elegant.
Children are accepted, except under 12 in February. Children under 6 are not allowed in restaurant after 7 p.m.
Check out the wine cellar here - fairly awesome. Just ask to be shown it if you are interested, Rob the GM seems to be very knowledgable on the subject without being a wine pratt. |
| Facilities at Curtain Bluff, Antigua | Almost everything is included at Curtain Bluff. Guests can play tennis and squash (yes-an amazing squash court in the tropics, who would have thought?), enjoy water sports and use the fitness room without ever having to think about the cost. Even scubadiving is free, provided you are certified and only the in-suite spa services are extra.
There are loads of guys (staff, not just any old bloke) on the beach helping/coaching you. |
