Holiday Details
| Accommodation on Wilson Island Queensland | The Island offers comfortable designer-inspired tented
accommodation on six permanent tent sites, each with raised
timber floors and king-sized beds. The interiors are based on a
modern beachcombing theme with natural materials used to
create a stylish living space that combines simplicity of design
with comfort. As tents are without power, lights are battery
operated. A separate building houses six shower and dressing
areas (one designated for each tent) in addition to toilet and
vanity areas. The central guest lounge and dining area has a
spacious open-sided design that features large sun bleached
timber poles and an interior in-keeping with a relaxed sand and
sea theme.

| Dining on Wilson Island Queensland | The Longhouse is the central dining and relaxation area, featuring the long table, where most meals are enjoyed, a large comfortable banquette seating area for relaxing and socialising and an open kitchen. Guests are encouraged to treat the Longhouse as their own home, helping themselves to the library, beverages and snacks as they please.
Wilson Island dinner parties are informal occasions - barefoot if you wish. Each evening begins with guests enjoying sunset drinks and canapés. Returning to The Longhouse they will find the table set for a dinner party style gathering of friends, with light music playing, candles lit, and the Island Hosts making final preparations for the evening's dinner. The dinner menu changes daily.
Vegetarian options can only be catered for if advance notice is provided. Due to the remote location of Wilson Island, it may not be possible to cater for other special dietary requirements. Please discuss your requirements at the time of booking.
After dinner your hosts will take you on evening stargazing walks - if you wish - or in-season, a beachside walk to observe turtle nesting or hatchlings. |
| Wow factor on Wilson Island Queensland | Experience the wonder of watching Green and Loggerhead turtles laying their eggs or their baby hatchlings emerging from their nests (in season)
Please Note: Wilson Island is closed during the month of February by National Parks for the peak seabird nesting season. |
