Self Drive New England Luxury holiday, Maine, Boston, Bar Harbor, Vermont, Newport, Cape Cod, Driving Holidays USA, Blue Lizard Travel

This longer self drive tour of New England would be enjoyable at any point of the year. We went in the early summer time, Boston was vibrant, the sail boats dotted the sea off the coastal roads and the areas in and around Vermont were lush and green. Amazingly it was snowing on top of Mount Washington! Vermont and New England are popular destinations in Autumn because of the colours everywhere as the trees take on hues of red, gold and copper. On such a vast scale it really is quite an awesome sight. The driving is easy and planned so that you can enjoy the curiosities you find enroute. Since Boston is about 6 hours flight-time away this is a manageable and very enjoyable adventure with or without children! This tour is similar in theme to our 8 day tour but here we have allowed more time in each place and also added in a few more stops which are designed to allow you to unwind and relax.
