The Lodge features 20 private canvas tents. These tents are purpose built, imported from South Africa and feature solar powered electricity. Faithful to local style, each one is protected from the elements by a thatch roof. This allows the Lodges’ grounds to harmoniously blend with surrounding nature. The tents are decorated with bamboo and wooden furniture. They each feature private attached bathrooms (beautifully made from stone) and toilet with solar powered hot water. The tents have comfortable duvets and mosquito nets.

You can participate and learn about the following:
• Rice planting and harvesting in surrounding rice fields
• Gold panning (January to June) in the Mekong. Anything you find is yours!
• Jungle walks to search for medicinal plants
• Trekking through the forest to waterfalls (two hour hike and boat ride)
• Traditional fishing techniques. You can sample your catch for dinner!
• Local village visit
• Archery contest

You will sample copious and delicious dishes prepared with local products by the Kamu Lodge Chef. Lao cuisine is tasty and nutritious using only the freshest ingredients. You will also enjoy a colorful array of organic tropical fruits and vegetables.
For lunch, you will discover the wide range of flavors local traditional cuisine has to offer. For dinner you can relax in a friendly candle lit atmosphere.
