| Day 1 | Fly direct to Cape Town from London. |
| Day 2–5 The Long Beach, Kommetjie | On arrival in Cape Town you will be met and assisted with the collection of your car rental. Our representative will meet with you to check that you have settled in. You will drive the short journey to The Long Beach (approx 30 minutes). Stay: The Long Beach 3 nights |

| Gelatenheid Cottage | These superbly furnished guesthouses are within easy walking distance of the attractions of Franschhoek in the Winelands area of the Cape. The buildings are full of history; one was a base for the officers during the Boer War and dates back to 1860. The surrounding area is stunning with views across the vineyards and up to the mountains. It is perfectly situated to travel out to the wine estates for tours of delightful cellars and to view the impressive Cape Dutch architecture.

| Day 7-8 To Swellendam | Drive to this wonderful scenic area from Franschoek and arrive at Jan Harmsgat. On a working farm in the scenic Klein Karoo winelands region. The towns of Robertson, Montagu and McGregor are nearby and Cape Agulhas (southern tip of Africa) is an easy hour's drive away. Guests are treated to understated elegance and comfort in the farm's original slave quarters. 2 loft rooms and the guest lounge boast expansive mountain views. Relax by the pool with a book from the extensive library or explore the farm and surrounding wine routes, as well as museums and heritage sites in nearby Swellendam and surrounding areas.

| Day 8-10 Drive to Plettenberg Bay | Head for the coastal resort of Plettenberg Bay, a popular spot for the South Africans, as it has great beaches, good restaurants and you may well wish you could stay.
