Dubai is glitzy and a great location for families to enjoy the sun and the beach with high standards of accommodation and food. One of the most popular destinations for UK visitors, Dubai continues to grow. With great golf, a multitude of water sports, a real desert experience, an indoor ski centre with outside temperatures of over 50 degrees at times plus a water slide that goes uphill, this really is an obscure place. But lots of fun is assured.

It does get very hot during the months of May - August and unless you really like the heat it may be better to go at other times of the year. The direct flights and minimal jet lag mean that it is possible to visit for a long weekend and come back feeling refreshed.
