Jamaica
A visit to the home of reggae, with a friendly population keen on fun and beautiful countryside will not fail to impress you during your stay on the island of Jamaica. Although it is the third largest island in the Caribbean, tourist hotels are mainly found in three areas, Montego Bay, Ocho Rios and Negril, a good 3 -5 hours drive away from the problems of Kingston. No more personal safety precautions need to be taken here than anywhere else in the world. Ocho Rios provides a great base to explore and climb up Dunns River Falls and the Blue Mountains whilst Negril will offer you some of the best beaches on the island. Raft trips along the Martha Brae or leisurely games of golf on its championship courses provide alternative active options.
Undoubted plus points are that its culture is lively and interesting, its people are amongst the Caribbean’s most friendly and it is right up there with some of the most scenically beautiful places in the world. Jamaica also offers fantastic value for money in the usually pricey Caribbean.
